Famous for having the best thermal springs in Cuzco, Lares is a small, enchanting town surrounded by impressive slopes. Tourists, groups of friends, families, and couples choose Lares as a destination to spend time, have new experiences, and make memories, as well as sink into the warm, relaxing, and invigorating water.

Lares is one of the districts of Calca Province. It is only an hour from the town of Calca by car. Many people prefer to walk to Lares, especially along the Inca road, in order to submerge themselves in nature’s enchantment and breathe the fresh and pure air of the mountains. It is amazing to arrive at the pass, from which you can see the snow-covered peaks of the high Andes. They hold you and enchant you.

Besides being medicinal, the warm waters in modern pools by the side of the river is just a delight. There are four pools with different temperatures from which you can choose where to immerse your self and just enjoy the water.

After having a good time, you can return to the town which is less than ten minutes from the pools. The women of the town offer there, with charm, the best of their cuisine. The warm water leaves you very relaxed and a good meal helps restore energy. The people of the town recommend a good chicken soup.

Lares enchants. There is no doubt about it. With its medicinal waters, and its amazing scenery it is spectacular. It is fun to camp with your friends in order to throw yourself into the immensity of the starry night.
